AS Saint-Étienne faces squad changes ahead of Grenoble match

AS Saint-Étienne faces squad challenges ahead of their upcoming Ligue 2 match against Grenoble Foot 38. Manager Ian Cathro must reorganize his defense due to the absence of Portuguese lateral João Ferreira, who is currently undergoing a concussion protocol following a heavy aerial collision during the recent victory against Clermont.

In addition to medical concerns, the club is managing roster changes as the transfer window remains active. Recent departures include Mickaël Nadé, who moved to Dubai, and Ebenezer Annan, who is set to join Rapid Bucharest.

To compensate for Ferreira's absence, the probable lineup suggests Kevin Pedro will move to his natural right-back position, with Maxime Bernauer likely filling in on the left. The midfield is expected to feature Csongvai and Svetlin, while the attacking unit remains anchored by Thierno Ballo and Irvin Cardona.
