French football clubs pursue key transfers during summer window

Several French football clubs are actively managing squad changes during the summer transfer window.

AS Saint-Étienne is preparing for the potential departure of Belgian striker Lucas Stassin, with interest from RC Strasbourg and Betis Seville. To replace him, the club is considering options such as Adriano Bertaccini from Anderlecht or Andréas Hountondji from Burnley. Additionally, midfielder Pierre Ekwah is being monitored by Spanish clubs Levante and Malaga.

RC Lens is seeking to strengthen its defense by targeting Nathan Zézé from Neom SC. The club faces competition from Bologna and Eintracht Frankfurt for the defender, who is available as his current club seeks to reduce its wage bill.

In other moves, Olympique de Marseille has been presented with an opportunity to sign Ghanaian defender Alidu Seidu from Stade Rennais. Meanwhile, Olympique Lyonnais is interested in Danish midfielder Matt O’Riley, who is currently at Brighton and facing uncertain playing time.

Stade Rennais is also looking to move on from Seidu, as the versatile defender seeks a transfer.
