AS Saint‑Étienne ramps up youth reserve signings under Kilmer Sports

Since Kilmer Sports took charge of AS Saint‑Étienne, the club has intensified its post‑formation recruitment, adding eight young players to the reserve squad in a year. New arrivals include Senegalese left‑back Lassana Traoré (18), Serbian U‑19 international Strahinja Stojkovic (18), Malian midfielder Modibo Sissoko (19), Estonian prospect Marten‑Chris Paalberg (17) and Moroccan forward Adam Baallal (19), among others. The strategy aims to build a pipeline of talent that can eventually feed the professional group.

The reserve team, which struggled to stay in National 3 last season, has seen mixed results. Injuries have limited Traoré and Paalberg, while only Joshua Duffus has begun to make an impact with the first‑team. The club continues to monitor the development of its newcomers as it seeks to shift away from relying solely on established players.
