Aísa inclusive Camino de Santiago project reaches 2,800 people

The ‘Camino de Santiago Inclusive’ project, led by the Aísa City Council with funding from the Ministry of Culture, has concluded its first edition, reaching nearly 2,800 people.

The initiative utilized immersive technology, theatricalized experiences, and guided tours to make the Jacobean heritage accessible to elderly individuals, vulnerable groups, and students. Key historical sites highlighted included the Somport pass and the ancient Hospital de Santa Cristina.

Participation included over 1,900 students from the Canfranc and Jaca valleys through cultural diffusion plans, as well as 692 people who attended 39 guided tours. The Aísa City Council is currently evaluating ways to ensure the project's continuity and expand virtual experiences to other sections of the Camino de Santiago in La Jacetania.
