ASA manages aviation fuel supply via 52 stations and 447 units
Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares (ASA), a decentralized agency of Mexico’s Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), manages a specialized network for aviation fuel supply. The operation includes 52 fuel stations and one supply point located at strategic airports to serve both national and international aviation.
The logistics chain involves five stages: reception of fuel from PEMEX refineries or terminals, transport, storage, quality control, and final supply to aircraft. ASA utilizes a fleet of 447 specialized units, including 266 tankers, dispensers, and auxiliary vehicles. Tankers used for transport to airport stations have capacities ranging from 42,000 to 62,000 liters, while smaller supply vehicles used for direct aircraft refueling range from 2,000 to 40,000 liters.
To ensure safety and efficiency, the agency employs a Fuel Management System that adheres to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 international standards. Quality inspections are conducted throughout the entire supply chain, from the initial reception of the product to the final delivery to the aircraft.
