Asake ties Burna Boy's Spotify record with M$NEY milestone

Nigerian artist Asake has reached a major streaming milestone, with his album ‘M$NEY’ surpassing 500 million streams on Spotify. This achievement makes ‘M$NEY’ his fourth project to cross this threshold, tying him with Burna Boy for the most projects with over 500 million streams by a Nigerian artist.

Asake’s rapid ascent follows the massive debut of ‘M$NEY’, which recorded 55.98 million global streams in its first week. His previous successful projects include ‘Mr. Money With The Vibe’, ‘Work Of Art’, and ‘Lungu Boy’.

In addition to his streaming success, Asake has released the official music video for the track ‘Oba’ from the ‘M$NEY’ album. Directed by Director Buise, the video departs from high-budget street settings to depict an intimate, late-night studio recording session involving producers and backing vocalists.
