Asamblea Permanente por los Derechos Humanos monitors prisoner welfare
The Asamblea Permanente por los Derechos Humanos (APDH) conducts humanitarian visits and monitoring of detention conditions for individuals deprived of liberty. These actions aim to assess personal situations and support prisoner welfare through various committees and organizational networks.
Key initiatives include the Committee for the Freedom of Milagro Sala, which involves over two hundred organizations, including universities, unions, and political groups. The APDH also participates in the Coordinator for the Freedom of Political Prisoners, focusing on individuals detained during protests, such as Milton Tolomeo and Eneas Gallo.
Additionally, the APDH coordinates monitoring efforts with national and local authorities, including the National Committee for the Prevention of Torture and other prevention mechanisms.
