Asan Medical Center to host Value-Based Healthcare symposium

Asan Medical Center will host a symposium on Value-Based Healthcare (VBHC) on the 28th at its East Building auditorium. The event aims to explore new medical paradigms that prioritize patient-centered care, focusing not only on survival rates and clinical outcomes but also on the patient's perceived quality of life before and after treatment.

The symposium is divided into two sessions. The first session features keynote speeches and presentations from domestic and international experts regarding the necessity of VBHC, patient-centered health insurance systems, and patient experience evaluations. Speakers include representatives from the Ministry of Health and Welfare and experts from Samsung Medical Center and Singapore General Hospital.

The second session will focus on Asan Medical Center's practical applications and future plans. Topics include the implementation of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROM), the 'WithONE' integrated care system for elderly patients, optimization of hospitalization and surgery processes, and the application of artificial intelligence in expanding value-based medical services.
