Asana and LexisNexis expand AI capabilities into autonomous agents

Software providers Asana and LexisNexis are advancing the integration of 'agentic AI' to move beyond simple task assistance toward autonomous workflow management.

Asana has expanded its AI team members to execute actions directly within ten external business applications. These integrations include Google Drive, OneDrive, Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Canva, and HubSpot. Under its new usage-based billing model, Asana provides a set number of monthly requests per user, with additional queries costing between $0.50 and $0.60.

In the legal sector, LexisNexis introduced Lexis+ with Protégé at the LexCon event in Vienna. This tool utilizes agentic AI to manage entire workflows, such as moving from an initial legal question to a review-ready draft, rather than just supporting individual steps. The development of the tool has incorporated over 1,500 professional feedback points from legal practitioners to ensure reliability in professional workflows.
