Asara Resources scores high-grade gold hits in Guinea as Askari Metals readies drilling in Ethiopia

Asara Resources (ASX:AS1) announced significant gold intercepts from an expanded drilling program south of the Massan deposit at its flagship Kada Gold Project in eastern Guinea. The company completed 57 drill holes covering 7,146 m using reverse‑circulation, diamond and air‑core methods. Highlights include a 47 m interval grading 8.00 g/t Au (including 8 m at 42.20 g/t), a 66 m interval at 0.70 g/t (including 3 m at 3.80 g/t) and two 1‑m intervals above 130 g/t Au. Managing Director Matthew Sharples said the results exceed expectations and extend mineralisation beyond the current deposit centre, bolstering confidence in a resource growth ahead of an updated August 2026 mineral resource estimate. The project presently holds an indicated and inferred resource of 30.3 Mt at 1.00 g/t Au, containing about 923,000 oz of gold.

Askari Metals (ASX:AS2) is preparing its maiden drilling campaign at the Nejo Gold‑Copper Project in Ethiopia, focusing on the Guji–Gudeya trend within a 1,174 km² district of the Arabian‑Nubian Shield. The company plans to test historical high‑grade gold and copper intersections across the Guji, Komto 1 and Komto 2 targets to define mineralised zones for a future resource estimate. Simultaneously, Askari is reviewing its Uis critical‑metals portfolio in Namibia, where pegmatite systems host high‑grade tin, tantalum and potential lithium, caesium and rubidium mineralisation. Executive Director Gino D’Anna described the Nejo project as a district‑scale gold‑copper opportunity with multiple drill‑ready targets. Exploration expenditure for the quarter was $121,000.
