ASBÜ and TİMBİR sign AI and digital media cooperation protocol

Ankara Sosyal Bilimler Üniversitesi (ASBÜ) and the Turkish Internet Media Union (TİMBİR) have signed a three-year cooperation protocol focused on artificial intelligence, digital media, and combating disinformation.

The agreement aims to combine academic research capacity with sectoral expertise in internet media. Key areas of collaboration include the use of AI technologies in journalism and digital communication, media technology development, and information verification methods to detect and prevent misleading content.

Under the protocol, the parties will organize seminars, conferences, and training programs to promote ethical and responsible AI use. They also plan to conduct joint academic research, prepare scientific reports, and apply for national and international funding to enhance the competencies of students, researchers, and media professionals.
