ASB Wünschewagen fulfills dream for terminally ill Schalke 04 fan

Ludger, a 60-year-old man from Lower Saxony living with a severe cancer diagnosis and long-term physical disabilities, was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of watching Schalke 04 play live.

The ASB Wünschewagen, a donation-funded volunteer project, facilitated the trip to Gelsenkirchen for Ludger and his family. The specialized transport service provides free rides for patients and companions, featuring medical equipment such as oxygen and defibrillators, as well as comfort features like air suspension and panoramic windows. The service is operated by trained volunteers from the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB).
