Asbury Park to host 18th annual Zombie Walk

The 18th annual Asbury Park Zombie Walk is scheduled to take place on the Asbury Park boardwalk. The event encourages participants to dress in elaborate zombie costumes, featuring makeup, special effects, and torn clothing to resemble characters from horror movies or original creations.

Originating in 2009 as a Halloween-themed gathering, the event has grown significantly over the years. It previously earned Guinness World Records for the largest gathering of zombies in 2010 and 2013. Participants typically march or shuffle in unison along the boardwalk while staying in character.
