Rimini and Cilento host humanitarian and cultural solidarity events

Various community and humanitarian initiatives are taking place across Italy. In Rimini, the third edition of the ‘Voci per Gaza’ event will be held on September 11 and 12. This solidarity event, organized by EducAid, Risuona Rimini, and Cooperativa Sociale Cento Fiori, features music, workshops, and talks to support a crowdfunding campaign aimed at providing customized mobility and writing aids for children with disabilities in Gaza.

In the Cilento region, Ascea is hosting a solidarity camp from September 6 to 13 for Palestinian families residing in Campania who arrived via humanitarian corridors for urgent medical care. Additionally, the ‘Praesentia’ cultural tour will visit Ascea on September 8 to explore the relationship between the Cilento territory, the Mediterranean diet, and tourism.

Other local activities include a marine biology and kite-flying event at Secco to promote environmental protection, a social inclusion day for youth organized by the Italian Red Cross in Cesenatico, and a food and tradition festival in Santa Maria di Montalbano Elicona. In other social sectors, a new 240,000 euro program titled ‘Viva-Mente’ has been launched to support the psychological and physical well-being of the elderly through inclusive workshops.
