Ascensión families receive clothing donations from Phoenix residents

Families in Ascensión and surrounding communities received donations of used clothing in good condition through a social assistance initiative. The program was coordinated by the municipal presidency led by Ivonne de la Hoya Venzor, the municipal DIF, and the Club de Leones de Ascensión.

The clothing was collected by Mexican nationals residing in Phoenix, Arizona, following a call for support by the media outlet En Familia Radio. The distribution targeted dozens of families, particularly seasonal workers from southern Mexican states such as Oaxaca, Chiapas, Guerrero, and Veracruz who have settled in the Northwest region for the harvest season.
