Ascoli Calcio signs defender Lorenzo Venuti until 2027

Ascoli Calcio has officially signed defender Lorenzo Venuti, who has committed to the club with a contract running until June 30, 2027. The move follows a period of training at Picchio Village, where the former Sampdoria player successfully convinced the technical staff and management.

Venuti, a product of the Fiorentina youth academy and a former Italian Under-21 international, brings significant experience to the Ascoli defense. His career includes stints in Serie A with Fiorentina and Benevento, as well as Serie B appearances with Brescia. He is expected to bolster the squad following a serious injury to teammate Alagna.

As the team prepares for a demanding October schedule, including a match against Südtirol on October 10, Venuti is expected to integrate into the squad immediately. Ascoli is also scheduled to participate in a joint training session against Bologna to maintain match fitness ahead of their upcoming league fixtures.
