Ascoli coach Francesco Tomei reflects on promotion and team growth

Ascoli coach Francesco Tomei has reflected on the team’s successful start to the season and their recent promotion following a playoff victory against Brescia. Tomei described the moment of victory as a period of profound realization, noting that while the team celebrated, he experienced a sense of calm joy after reflecting on the long journey taken to reach that point.

Tomei attributed the team's progress to the strong foundations built with the club's ownership and sporting director. He emphasized the importance of continuous study and curiosity, noting that his years spent as an assistant coach in high-level environments, including the Champions League, helped shape his philosophy of creating a football style where players can enjoy themselves while remaining competitive.

Looking ahead, the coach warned against the danger of complacency, stating that the team must avoid becoming satisfied with their current achievements to ensure continued growth.
