Ascoli hosts third Dea Day event for sport and solidarity

The third edition of Dea Day, titled ‘Illumina l’Oscurità’, took place on September 20 at Paniko Village. Organized by Asd Ascoli Calcio a 5 in collaboration with the Emergency and Urgency Department of the Ast of Ascoli, the event was held under the patronage of the Municipality of Ascoli and integrated into the Festival del Sociale.

The event featured a futsal tournament for healthcare workers from the Emergency Departments of the Mazzoni Hospital in Ascoli Piceno and the Madonna del Soccorso Hospital in San Benedetto del Tronto. This initiative aimed to foster teamwork and social engagement among medical professionals outside of the workplace.

In the afternoon, Asd Ascoli Calcio a 5, presided over by Massimo Cottilli, held its official presentation for both the first team and youth sectors. The club is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary and manages over 50 youth players across Under 13, Under 15, and Under 17 categories. The day also highlighted social solidarity through the involvement of organizations including AIDO, AVIS, AISM, Il Sole di Giorgia, Zarepta, and Croce Blu.
