Ascoli Piceno showcases red‑rose mural and honors photographer Enzo Morganti

In the Sant'Emidio district of Ascoli Piceno, volunteers painted a large night‑time design on Via XX Settembre in Piazza Roma. The centerpiece is the "Dama della Rosa Rossa", a stylised medieval‑dressed woman surrounded by red roses, gold accents and green foliage. The artwork, based on a sketch by local artist Michael Calcagni, is meant to symbolize the historic procession of the town and its communal identity.

The same cultural spotlight falls on Enzo Morganti, a veteran photographer from Ascoli. Over a career spanning analog and digital eras, Morganti has documented the city’s churches, monuments and natural sites, while also contributing to local cultural associations and artistic projects. His work is praised for preserving Ascoli’s heritage and inspiring new generations of visual artists.
