Ascoli secures record 6-1 away victory against Catanzaro

Ascoli achieved a historic milestone in Serie B with a 6-1 away victory against Catanzaro at the Ceravolo stadium. This result marks the largest away win in the club's history in the second division and represents the first time the team has scored six goals in a single Serie B match.

After Catanzaro took an early lead through Koffi, Ascoli responded quickly with a goal from Gori just three minutes later. The team, led by manager Francesco Tomei, eventually took full control of the match. Gori was a standout performer, scoring twice to help secure the unprecedented win.

The dominant performance is seen as a significant statement of intent for the club, suggesting they may be capable of competing for higher positions in the league standings. The victory highlighted the team's offensive potential and group unity, overcoming a Catanzaro side that had recently been a playoff contender.
