Ascotid Trail Race celebrates 10 years in Târgu Mureș

The 10th edition of the Ascotid Trail Race is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 26, at the Cornești Plateau in Târgu Mureș. Organized by the Association of Children and Young People with Diabetes Mureș (ASCOTID), the event serves as a health campaign to support youth diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and to promote healthy lifestyles to prevent type 2 diabetes.

The anniversary edition carries the message ‘We Run On Insulin,’ aiming to demonstrate that insulin treatment does not prevent children and young people from being active and pursuing their dreams. The competition offers various distances, including a 21-kilometer semi-marathon, 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer races, and specific events for children and families.
