ASD Toirano players secure podium finishes at Open di Fossano

ASD Toirano athletes achieved notable success at the Open di Fossano in Piedmont, Italy, during the start of the 2026/2027 season. The team secured two podium finishes out of 15 total victories.

Vincenzo Amodeo and Andrea Caviglia won the Open8 mixed doubles tournament. After winning three group stage matches, they defeated Bertolusso/Prato in the semifinals and Sangrali/Sangrali in the final, both matches requiring five sets.

In the Open8 singles category, Vincenzo Amodeo secured third place. After advancing through the round of 16 and quarterfinals, his run ended in the semifinals against Navvab Kashiri. Other participants included Andrea Caviglia, Angelo Groccia, Alessandro Carchero, and Claudio and Erica Siccardi.
