Asda announces £250m investment in British grower Len Wright Salads

Asda has announced a £250 million investment in British agriculture through a new 10-year partnership with Len Wright Salads. The agreement, valued at approximately £25 million annually through 2036, extends a commercial relationship between the retailer and the Lancashire-based grower that has lasted over 35 years.

Len Wright Salads currently supplies the majority of Asda’s own-label prepared bagged salads, distributing 37 million bags to stores nationwide each year from a dedicated facility. The long-term contract is intended to provide the family-owned business with the financial confidence to invest in its facilities and workforce, while securing a stable supply of fresh produce for Asda customers.
