ASEAN 2045 Vision discussed in Ho Chi Minh City seminar

A seminar organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities focused on transforming ASEAN friendship into concrete cooperation. Speakers emphasized that the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, to be adopted in Kuala Lumpur in 2025, aims to build a resilient, dynamic, and people-centered community.

Participants noted that the strength of ASEAN should be measured by the level of trust and connection between its citizens rather than just economic scale or international agreements. Experts highlighted culture and people-to-people diplomacy as strategic resources to build consensus and social foundations for sustainable cooperation, helping to reduce prejudice and enhance mutual understanding across diverse communities.
