ASEAN investment reaches USD 243.9 billion amid regional growth
Southeast Asian investment continues to show strength, with ASEAN member states recording USD 243.9 billion in investments in 2025. This marks the fifth consecutive year that regional investments have exceeded the USD 200 billion threshold.
In the Philippines, approved projects from 2025 and the first half of 2026 are projected to create over 207,000 jobs. Additionally, the government’s Green Lane program has certified 239 strategic projects valued at P6.32 trillion, which are expected to employ approximately 421,000 people once operational.
Regional economic developments also include the growth of Southeast Asia’s green economy, which reached US$290 billion in 2025 and is projected to hit US$430 billion by 2030. In Indonesia, fintech firm 01Fintech has invested in the digital platform DANA to expand financial services and MSME credit access. Furthermore, AI platform Zankore has secured a US$3.1 billion loan facility to finance the deployment of NVIDIA GPU infrastructure for AI cloud services across the region.
