ASEAN promotes regional integration through trade and labor reforms

ASEAN leaders and officials are advancing regional integration through diplomatic engagement and labor market reforms. In Vietnam, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng met with ASEAN Ambassadors and Chargés d'affaires to discuss deepening intra-bloc trade and investment relations. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of strategic connectivity and maintaining ASEAN's central role in regional structures amidst complex global developments.

Concurrently, the 29th ASEAN Labour Ministers Meeting (ALMM) held in Bangkok focused on promoting human resources through global skill certification. Ministers from 11 member states discussed solutions to adapt the workforce to technological changes, digitalization, and the green transition. The meeting reaffirmed commitments to the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, emphasizing inclusive employment, lifelong learning, and the elimination of child labor by 2035.
