Aseel Al-Yaqoub wins seventh Ithra Art Prize

Artist Aseel Al-Yaqoub has won the seventh edition of the Ithra Art Prize for her work titled ‘Unknown Plants’. The announcement was made by the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra), an initiative by Saudi Aramco, during a ceremony held in Dhahran.

Established in 2017, the biennial prize aims to support contemporary art across the Arab world by providing financial support and a global platform for artists. The winning piece will join the permanent art collection at the Ithra museum. The program also provided production grants to five finalists to facilitate the development of ambitious works reflecting the complexities of contemporary Arab art.
