ASELSAN and PGZ climb global defense industry rankings
Defense industry leaders ASELSAN and Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) have seen significant climbs in the Defense News Top 100 rankings, reflecting rapid growth in the global arms sector.
Turkish company ASELSAN rose three positions over the past year to reach 40th place. The company reported a 38.5% increase in revenue, with defense-related contracts totaling $4.9 billion in the first half of the year and an order backlog of $23.2 billion. ASELSAN currently maintains export operations in 97 countries.
Poland’s PGZ jumped 13 places to reach 41st position, trailing ASELSAN by less than $100 million in defense revenue. PGZ’s defense-related revenue nearly doubled to $4.374 billion in 2025, up from approximately $2.28 billion the previous year. This growth rate significantly outpaced the overall 11.3% increase in total defense revenue seen across the Top 100 companies.
