ASELSAN signs €1.47 billion air‑defense contract with Turkish defense authority

ASELSan and the Presidency of Defense Industry signed a contract worth €1.470 billion (approximately $1.68 billion) to expand serial production of Turkey’s air‑defence systems. The agreement adds to ongoing projects under the multi‑layered “Steel Dome” architecture, known as the ÇELİKKUBBE system, which integrates low‑altitude KORKUT drones, medium‑altitude HISAR‑A and HISAR‑O, and long‑range SİPER missiles.

The contract also includes development and deployment of the AI‑driven HAKİM command‑control system that fuses radar, electro‑optical and communications data into a real‑time air picture. ASELSAN expects a positive impact on its revenue, while the deal reinforces Turkey’s domestic defence industrial base and its commitments under NATO.
