Asenovgrad Municipal Council postpones decision on former dentistry site
The Asenovgrad Municipal Council has postponed a decision regarding the status of the former dentistry site, a nearly 5-decare plot of land. The proposal to change the land's zoning status met with significant opposition from local residents during a recent council meeting.
Following procedural disputes and public pressure, officials have scheduled a public discussion for Wednesday, September 9, at 4:00 PM at the municipal building to address demands for transparency.
An earlier draft of the resolution, which would have automatically designated the property as private municipal property following a change in the detailed urban plan (PUP), was modified. The current proposal focuses on changing the land use from “greenery, dentistry, and transformer station” to “public service,” with specific requirements for a minimum of 30% greenery and an intensity coefficient of 1.
