ASEP activates electronic lottery for 1,705 public sector positions

The Greek Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection (ASEP) has activated an electronic open lottery software to facilitate the recruitment process for calls 4K/2026 and 5K/2026. This procedure aims to resolve absolute ties among candidates by assigning a random number to each applicant; in cases of identical scores, the candidate with the lower random number will take precedence.

The lottery, conducted on October 15, 2026, affects a total of 1,705 positions. This includes 1,654 permanent or three-year contract positions within the Ministry of Health, specifically at Papageorgiou General Hospital, and 51 permanent or indefinite contract positions within various public services and legal entities. The positions span University, Technological, and Secondary education categories.
