ASF proposes legal reforms to expedite corruption sanctions in Veracruz
The Auditoría Superior de la Federación (ASF) has proposed legal reforms to expedite sanctions for corruption and accelerate the recovery of diverted public funds in Veracruz. Aureliano Hernández Palacios Cardel, head of the ASF, stated that modifying current laws is necessary to reduce response times and ensure that those responsible for irregularities are punished more efficiently.
The ASF is collaborating with various federal government agencies, administrative justice authorities, and the Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) to modernize the legal framework. The goal is to provide authorities with stronger legal tools to combat impunity and ensure the immediate restitution of lost public resources, particularly regarding unresolved cases from previous administrations.
