ASF signs agreement with Mexican universities for student auditors

The Auditoría Superior de la Federación (ASF) has signed a collaboration agreement titled ‘Auditoras y Auditores Universitarios’ with ten public universities in Mexico, including the Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT). The agreement, signed by UAT Rector Dámaso Anaya Alvarado and ASF Superior Auditor Aureliano Hernández Palacios Cardel, allows students to complete their mandatory social service by participating in the oversight and auditing of public spending.

Under this strategic alliance, students will receive specialized training in anti-corruption measures. Their responsibilities will include supervising the use of resources and presenting their findings to the Chamber of Deputies of the Union Congress. The initiative aims to promote transparency, integrity, and accountability within Mexico's higher education institutions and the broader public sector.
