Asghar Farhadi and György Pálfi lead new cinema premieres

A new wave of film premieres features a mix of festival-acclaimed works and commercial productions. A central highlight is ‘Parallel Stories’ (Histoires Paralleles), the third European production by award-winning Iranian director Asghar Farhadi. Starring Isabelle Huppert, Virginie Efira, and Vincent Cassel, the psychological drama has received polarized reactions since its Cannes debut, with critics debating its pacing and character depth against its atmospheric intensity.

Other notable releases include ‘Tennis Maestro’ starring Pierfrancesco Favino, and the Greek-Hungarian co-production ‘Kota’ directed by György Pálfi. Additionally, the satirical film ‘The Death of a Bureaucrat’ by Cuban director Tomás Gutiérrez Alea is being re-released.
