Asghar Farhadi releases trailer for Parallel Stories

Oscar-winning director Asghar Farhadi has released the poster and trailer for his new film, Parallel Stories (Histoires Parallèles). The thriller, which was presented in competition at the Cannes Film Festival, is scheduled for theatrical release in Italy on November 26.

Produced in collaboration between Italy, France, and Belgium, the film features an international cast including Isabelle Huppert, Vincent Cassel, Virginie Efira, Pierre Niney, and Adam Bessa, with a special appearance by Catherine Deneuve. The plot follows a writer named Sylvie who spies on her neighbors for inspiration, leading to a complex web of deception where fiction and reality blur.

The project is loosely inspired by Krzysztof Kieślowski’s Decalogue and marks Farhadi’s tenth feature film. Lucky Red will handle the distribution in Italy.
