Ash Trevino pleads guilty to welfare fraud in Texas

Texas influencer Ash Trevino has pleaded guilty to welfare fraud and fraudulent securing of document execution. As part of a plea deal, she avoided additional jail time but was sentenced to two years of community supervision, 120 hours of community service, and mandatory anti-theft and financial counseling.

Trevino was also ordered to pay $16,799.95 in restitution to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission. The legal proceedings follow her initial arrest in December 2025 and a subsequent re-arrest in March 2026 for allegedly violating bond conditions.

Court documents reveal that prosecutors alleged Trevino had relationships with between 50 and 75 inmates within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, some of whom were serving sentences for violent crimes such as murder and aggravated robbery. Prosecutors also accused her of using her social media following to solicit money in exchange for disclosing personal health information regarding a dependent.
