Asha Bhosle remembered by composer Leslee Lewis as PM Modi gifts vinyl album in Australia

Music composer Leslee Lewis recounted his fondest memories of working with the late legend Asha Bhosle. He described her mood‑driven approach to recording, recalling incidents such as postponing a session because she “was not in the mood,” birthday studio celebrations and an award ceremony where she publicly acknowledged his contribution.

Lewis also highlighted that during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official visit to Australia, the PM presented a vinyl edition of the ‘Colonial Cousins’ album – a collaboration between Lewis and singer Hariharan – along with an Indian Premium Coffee Box showcasing the country’s diverse coffee varieties.
