Ashanti NPP Chairman calls for cross-party unity on regional development
Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) known as COKA, has called on minority political parties in the Ashanti Region to unite in advocating for local development.
During a meeting with leaders of rival political parties, Appiah urged for cross-party cooperation to lobby for national resources and infrastructure. He specifically cited stalled projects, including local units of the Agenda 111 hospital project and the delayed operationalization of the University of Local Governance, as areas requiring collective attention.
Appiah also emphasized the importance of political leadership in maintaining public peace, noting that the conduct of party leaders influences the behavior of supporters on the ground.
