Ashford Castle named world’s most beautiful hotel

Ashford Castle in County Mayo, Ireland, has been named the most beautiful hotel in the world by Time Out. The 800-year-old estate, which has hosted figures such as Oscar Wilde and the Guinness family, also secured the title of Best Heritage Hotel.

The 350-acre luxury resort features 83 rooms and suites, many of which offer views of Lough Corrib. Notable amenities include a spa with a relaxation pool set in a bronze conservatory, a private cinema, and secret gardens. The property is part of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection.

In the broader ranking of 33 properties, Japan’s Hiramatsu Karuizawa Miyota took second place, while the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze in Italy was recognized for its gardens. Other notable mentions in the global list included properties in Malta, London, and Paris.
