Ashish Nehra uncertain about Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's 2027 World Cup participation

Former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra has stated that it is too early to determine if veterans Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will participate in the 2027 ODI World Cup. While both players have retired from Tests and T20Is to focus on the ODI format, their inclusion in the squad for the tournament in South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe remains uncertain.

Nehra noted that while the players' past achievements are undisputed, their future selection will depend on their ongoing form, fitness, and performances over the next 13 months. He emphasized that in professional sports, circumstances can change even shortly before a major tournament. Both players are scheduled to appear in the upcoming West Indies ODI series starting September 27.
