Ashiya City Museum of Art to host bird's-eye view workshop
The Ashiya City Museum of Art has announced a workshop as part of its ‘Manabi-haku Room 2026’ art study program. Scheduled for October 17, 2026, the session titled ‘Let’s Draw a Bird’s-eye View’ will be led by artist Daisuke Aoyama.
Aoyama, a specialist in bird’s-eye view depictions using isometric projection to create perspective without vanishing points, will discuss his process of documenting changing urban landscapes, such as Kobe. Participants, aged third grade elementary school and above, will have the opportunity to practice these techniques by drawing the museum building itself.
