Ashley Judd celebrates stepfather's Graceland induction

Actress Ashley Judd shared personal recollections of Elvis Presley on social media while celebrating the induction of her stepfather, Larry Strickland, into the Hall of Graceland Legends.

Judd noted that Presley was a regular presence in her childhood because Strickland sang bass with Presley for six years as a member of the gospel quartet J. D. Sumner and the Stamps. Reflecting on the induction, Judd described Presley’s professional preparation and his signature aura during recording sessions.

During the event, Judd also participated in a musical finale, harmonizing on ‘How Great Thou Art’ with the Blackwood Brothers.
