Elon Musk accused of slashing child support after ex refuses NDA

In the new documentary ‘Musk’ directed by Alex Gibney, Ashley St. Clair alleges that Elon Musk significantly reduced her monthly child support payments after she refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

St. Clair claims she was initially offered a $15 million lump sum and $100,000 in monthly child support to keep her relationship with Musk and the existence of their son, Romulus, private. She stated she could not sign the agreement ‘in good conscience’ because she did not want her child to ‘feel like he’s a secret.’

According to St. Clair, the financial support was first reduced to $40,000 per month following her refusal of the NDA, and then further decreased to $20,000 per month after she publicly revealed their son’s birth in February 2025.

Elon Musk has denied these allegations on the social media platform X, calling the claims false and describing the documentary as a biased ‘hit piece.’ He has also criticized the filmmaker for featuring individuals he claims are seeking revenge.
