Ashley St. Clair rejects $40 million settlement from Elon Musk
Ashley St. Clair, an influencer and mother of one of Elon Musk’s children, has refused a confidentiality agreement valued at approximately $40 million. The proposal, reportedly sent by Musk’s financial manager Jared Birchall, included an initial $15 million payment followed by monthly installments of $100,000 for 21 years.
In exchange for the settlement, St. Clair would have been prohibited from publicly discussing Musk or their relationship. The terms would have also extended to her heirs, potentially preventing her from revealing the child's paternity to future family members. St. Clair discussed the matter in the documentary ‘Musk’, directed by Alex Gibney, and in an interview with The New York Times, where she criticized the societal tendency to equate wealth with morality.
St. Clair and Musk reportedly began communicating via private messages on X in 2023. Musk has criticized the documentary and accused St. Clair of making false statements.
