Ashlyn Dvorak named Pac-12 defensive player of the week

Ashlyn Dvorak, a senior goalkeeper and co-captain for Washington State University, has been named the Pac-12 Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The recognition follows her performance in a 2-1 victory against Seattle University.

Dvorak recorded a career-high 13 saves during the match, which included 10 saves in the first half. This performance ties her for the sixth-most saves in a single game in WSU soccer history. The victory extended the Cougars' unbeaten streak to three matches.

Prior to this performance, Dvorak had recently returned to action after missing three games due to a cracked rib. She also recently contributed to a draw against Cal State Fullerton, where she recorded nine saves and a penalty save.
