Ashmita Bakshi discusses training for ‘108 Base Hospital - Uri’

Actress Ashmita Bakshi has discussed her preparation for portraying Army Major and nurse Anita Solanki in the television series ‘108 Base Hospital - Uri’. To accurately depict an army officer, Bakshi underwent training regarding proper posture, stance, and military interaction protocols. Additionally, she received training on hospital and operating theater protocols to fulfill the medical aspects of the role.

Bakshi noted that her background in a sports-oriented family and her experience as a professional dancer assisted her in maintaining the required physical presence for the character. The series, which is inspired by a real army hospital in Srinagar, is broadcast on Colors TV and JioHotstar. The show features a cast including Smita Bansal, Erica Fernandes, and Shaheer Sheikh, focusing on military medical staff stationed in conflict zones.
