Ashok Gehlot criticised by BJP leaders over Rajasthan tenure and governance

Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat publicly urged former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot to reflect on his 2018‑2023 tenure before criticizing the state government, citing law‑and‑order, administration and governance issues. Shekhawat made the remarks at a ceremony organized by the Motivational Society of Rajasthan and referenced the national “Drug‑Free Youth for a Developed India” campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Rajasthan chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also attacked Gehlot, calling him a “magician of manipulation” and alleging widespread corruption, delayed employee salaries and pension payments under the previous Congress administration. Sharma highlighted the current government's timely payments and linked Rajasthan’s environmental initiatives to Modi’s leadership, urging residents to plant trees as part of the “One Tree in the Name of Mother” campaign.
