Ashok Gehlot predicts Congress victory in Rajasthan civic polls
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has expressed confidence that the Congress party will secure a mandate in the ongoing Rajasthan civic body elections. Speaking in Jaipur, Gehlot criticized the current BJP government, alleging that the public is dissatisfied with its performance over the last two and a half years. He claimed that expectations in both rural and urban areas have not been met and suggested that the election results would serve as a lesson to the state government.
In response, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has commenced campaigning for BJP candidates in Jaipur. As part of the Rajasthan Urban Local Body Elections 2026, Sharma participated in a roadshow and visited the Hanuman Temple at Sanganeri Gate to offer prayers before beginning his campaign activities.
