Ashok Leyland reports record Q1 revenue and expands financing partnership
Ashok Leyland has reported record standalone revenue and profitability for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. Standalone revenue rose 10 per cent year-on-year to Rs. 9,634 crore, while standalone Profit After Tax (PAT) increased by 3 per cent to Rs. 609 crore. The company attributed these results to robust domestic demand in the Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV) and Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) segments.
To support future growth, the company is investing in electrification, battery localization, and hydrogen powertrains. Additionally, Ashok Leyland has entered into a strategic partnership with Kerala Grameena Bank through a Memorandum of Understanding. This collaboration aims to provide customized vehicle financing solutions and flexible repayment options for customers purchasing Ashok Leyland commercial vehicles.
