Ashok Selvan discusses film financing at ‘Anbil Avan’ event

The pre-release event for the Tamil film ‘Anbil Avan’ was held in Chennai ahead of its scheduled release on the 25th of this month. The film features actors Ashok Selvan and Preethi Mukundan, and was directed by R. Karthikeyan with a story written by Vignesh Raja.

During the event, actor and co-producer Ashok Selvan shared personal details regarding the film's production. He revealed that due to rising financing needs, he had to mortgage his parents' house deed to ensure the project's completion. Selvan expressed that the film represents a significant professional milestone for him, noting a desire to move away from routine projects toward impactful storytelling.

The film is produced by K. Karunamoorthy, Ashok Selvan, and Abinaya Selvam under the banners of Aignaran International and Happy High Pictures. Producer Abinaya highlighted the strength of the script and the collaborative spirit of the crew.
